What to Wear to Work: 3 Professional and Stylish Office Dresses

Although for many girls, office attire means a little bit overdressed, I'm personally excited about it, not only because of the skinny pencil dresses, elegant blazers, but also the practical pumps. Whether you are heading to an interview, or just landed a brand new job, chances are that you will face with a new problem: what to wear and how to wear professionally. If you are facing the same problem, read on for some inspiration!

General Rules to Follow for Office Dresses

  • It’s always better to be over dressed than be grossly under-dressed for work.
  • Ask someone in the workplace if there’s a dress code that needs to be followed.
  • Figure out your office dress code. A smart way is to look around and see how other colleagues dress in order to get general idea of the type of outfits you are expected to wear.
  • You can still incorporate your personal style into outfits, but just make sure your clothes fit with your workplace.
  • Cover up with a lightweight blazer or jacket if workplaces don’t allow bare arms.
  • Depending on specific dress codes, peep-toe shoes or even dressy sandals may be your option, but make sure to avoid wearing flip-flops!

DressilyMe Real Customer Review: Jezika's Wedding Dress

Many thanks to Jezika, a DressilyMe bride from Toronto, Canada for sharing some lovely pictures and review with us! Although her wedding is two years away, she was quite excited to pick her wedding dress from DressilyMe.com. Below let's take a look at her comments and nice pictures:

Jezika Looks Amazing in Her Wedding Dress

"I received this dress exactly two weeks after ordering it (I live in Canada). I must say I was very pleased with the quality of the dress and absolutely love it. There are some minor issues with a couple of pleats that need sewing down and I may need to find a way to lengthen the halter strap just a centimeter, but overall the dress is beautiful, fits me extremely well (I had custom sizing) and seems very well made (the fabric is thick, there are many layers and the seams seem very strong and neat). I'd definitely recommend ordering this dress if you love the style. See my pics attached!"

The Mermaid Halter Wedding Dress

This mermaid halter wedding dress is made of satin, featuring halter neckline with a fitted bodice. The side waist is decorated with lace appliques and beadings, beaded bustline and halter neck making it distinguishable. You may definitely get it from DressilyMe.com if you love Jezika's look! Style No. is WWD00DG7.

Would You Wear Retro-inspired Swimsuits?

One trend that is translated into swimwear this season is the vintage pin-up girl look. We are happy to see the return of flirty, glamorous and retro suits from many designers’ collections. However, here at Dressilyme.com, we are not talking the run-of-mill one-piece, instead, stylish, amped-up and ever-evolving swimwear with classic cuts is all the rage. But why we love retro-inspired swimsuits? Intrigued? Keep reading!

Retro-inspired Swimsuits are Stylish

As we know, the vintage swimwear had a similar look as a mini-dress, often referred to as a maillot. While featuring more stylish details such as the sweetheart neckline up top and the strategic cut-outs, retro-inspired swimsuits are perfect for fun in the sun! Like the purple one-piece above, it almost combines everything I love about the clothes I already own: classic colors, ruffles, and tailored fit.

Retro Bathing Suits are Flattering

In fact, not only are vintage swimsuits stylish, they are body flattering. They suit your body in a way that few other styles can simply because they were designed to show off the female form at its best, but in a subtle way. Alternative, the retro swimwear allows you to wear the silhouettes if you don’t like to show too much skin. It's just glamorous!

Retro Style Swimwear is Easy to Make a Bold Statement

Retro style suits are obviously classic, but different enough that they make people look twice. You can rest assured these retro bikinis are properly lined, making them a statement for swimming and other summer time activities.

What Do You Think?

There are actually plenty of words we can use there for retro swimsuits. But let us hear your creative suggestions. Just leave a comment below and let us know. Also, don’t forget to enter our Swimsuit Giveaway Contest! Good Luck!

Would You Wear Grecian Draped Dresses?

As a classic style clothing, Grecian dress is both stylish and figure-flattering, which makes it a must-have in modern fashion.

But what exactly is a Grecian dress, anyway? Just like the name suggests, the Grecian draped dress is originally reformed from the ancient clothing. Generally, it is a one-piece garment that draped loosely around the shoulders and down the body. It was fashionable in France after the French Revolution, because it was thought to express the democratic ideas for which that revolution was fought. However, it was rapidly changing and has already become a timeless fashion trend nowadays.

As for these long Grecian dresses, in typical summer fashion, they are obviously the most dressy, and would be perfect for the red carpet. When you try a summer look though, try to keep your look refresh such as pairing turquoise jewelry. They are both feature an one shoulder neckline and ruffled bodice in A-line silhouette which make them not only classic and chic, but also help to elongate your body. To keep the focus on the dress, choose a simple palette of metallic that would serve only to highlight the bright white of the dress, as well as any summer glow you may have by now.
