Would You Wear Retro-inspired Swimsuits?

One trend that is translated into swimwear this season is the vintage pin-up girl look. We are happy to see the return of flirty, glamorous and retro suits from many designers’ collections. However, here at Dressilyme.com, we are not talking the run-of-mill one-piece, instead, stylish, amped-up and ever-evolving swimwear with classic cuts is all the rage. But why we love retro-inspired swimsuits? Intrigued? Keep reading!

Retro-inspired Swimsuits are Stylish

As we know, the vintage swimwear had a similar look as a mini-dress, often referred to as a maillot. While featuring more stylish details such as the sweetheart neckline up top and the strategic cut-outs, retro-inspired swimsuits are perfect for fun in the sun! Like the purple one-piece above, it almost combines everything I love about the clothes I already own: classic colors, ruffles, and tailored fit.

Retro Bathing Suits are Flattering

In fact, not only are vintage swimsuits stylish, they are body flattering. They suit your body in a way that few other styles can simply because they were designed to show off the female form at its best, but in a subtle way. Alternative, the retro swimwear allows you to wear the silhouettes if you don’t like to show too much skin. It's just glamorous!

Retro Style Swimwear is Easy to Make a Bold Statement

Retro style suits are obviously classic, but different enough that they make people look twice. You can rest assured these retro bikinis are properly lined, making them a statement for swimming and other summer time activities.
